She is beautiful even now. The 1950s were not good to her; she was stuck in roles for platinum blondes that made her seem harder than she really is. I once watched her in an acting class run by drama coach Batami Schneider. She was redheaded, and rehearsing Picnic, and was lovely.

Yes! I yearned to see the face under that makeup. It was a harsh age for fair-skinned women.
