Auden...simple and brilliant. Thanks.
One of the greats...just heartbreaking. Thank you!
I first heard the poem read by John Hannah as a eulogy in FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL. It's a good one, that's for sure. "Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun..." Makes me think of all the truly brilliant people I've known and miss so deeply now that they're gone for good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_a-eXIoyYA
Poor old Auden, forever to be associated with Wet, Wet,Wet and Hugh Grant.Nice poem, though.
Patti - This is tres cool - Thanks!
Well-done little presentation, too, if the sound a little bad at this gen of dupe.
I'm going to have to echo the John Hannah version. Brings a tear to my eye every time.
I skipped using that one for just that reason.
White Crosses was also excellent.
