Las Vegas: Question One:
Natalie Wood reading.
There is so much to say about Vegas and about the conference I attended but let me start with this.
Overheard in Vegas.
A passenger on the hotel shuttle bus was chatting with the driver and told her he'd supported himself for the last two years by placing bets for several Vegas gamblers (the driver and passenger knew each other).
This guy was given a comp room by the hotel and made several bets a week for which he was paid $150 or so each. He told her he expected to go back to the strip later that night to place just such a bet.
Now what does this mean? Why couldn't these gamblers place their own bets? Why did he have to go back to the strip to place it? Why at a specific time? Why don't I know any of these things? Help me out-- oh wise ones.
